What are the reasons for the deformation of stainless steel water tanks

Stainless steel water tank is a common tool for storing water in daily life. Stainless steel water tank can be applied in different fields, such as daily life, fire water, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and large shopping malls. Different stainless steel raw materials make the service life and actual effect of stainless steel water tank different. Next, Taigangda Stainless Steel will explain to you the reasons that can cause deformation of stainless steel water tank.

1. The method of unloading the stainless steel water tank stamping plate material is incorrect. Some workers choose steel wire ropes and iron chains to unload the entire stainless steel water tank stamping plate together for convenience. This operation may cause the stamping plate placed at the bottom to deform due to the small lifting surface and excessive pressure it bears. Therefore, it is necessary to provide safety awareness and corresponding training and guidance to the staff during unloading, and arrange dedicated personnel to supervise the unloading process to ensure that the stainless steel stamping plate will not deform during unloading, and to avoid deformation during the installation of the stainless steel water tank.

2. Improper stacking of stamping plates for stainless steel water tanks can also lead to deformation of the plates. When the plates are transported to the installation site, due to the relatively long storage time and the lack of proper organization and protection of the on-site storage environment, in order to save space, stainless steel stamping plates of different sizes and thicknesses are stacked together. If too many stamping plates are stacked, it is easy for the plates to deform, which will affect the quality and aesthetics of the finished stainless steel water tank. So when stacking sheets, some protective items need to be used. All stainless steel stamping sheets should be classified and placed according to size and specifications to reduce the chance of sheet deformation.

3. The stainless steel water tank stamping plate was not calibrated before installation. When some plates have defects and deformations before installation, they need to be calibrated before installing the stainless steel water tank. But if the sheet metal meets the installation requirements, after welding and removing the anti deformation tools, under the action of internal stress, it will still cause severe deformation of the stamped sheet metal, which in turn will cause deformation of the stainless steel water tank. This requires installation personnel to inspect the quality of the stamped sheet metal before installation. If any deformation is found, it should be calibrated in a timely manner. The stainless steel water tank should be installed reasonably to prevent deformation and other problems.

4. During the calibration process of installing a stainless steel water tank, the method of using a large hammer for calibration was incorrect. The hammer was used to strike the surface of the plate, resulting in an increase in pits on the surface of the plate and damage to the coating on the surface of the plate, which endangered the appearance quality of the stainless steel plate. Such incorrect operation can also cause deformation of the stainless steel water tank. In this situation, it is required that the construction personnel select a cushion plate when calibrating the hammer, and the inclination of the cushion plate should be the same as that of the board, so as to achieve good calibration effect.

5. Excessive current during welding of stainless steel water tanks can also cause deformation of the tanks. Some construction workers choose to use a larger welding current for the sake of project progress. During welding, the temperature is high, and the surface of the stainless steel water tank has a large heating area, which makes it very easy for deformation to occur. This requires construction personnel to strictly follow the operation guidelines for actual operation, and not to affect the quality of the stainless steel water tank in order to meet the schedule.
