The beginning of the morning meeting is always accompanied by questions, and today is no exception. Colleagues from the business department have provided feedback that during the peak season for cargo volume, customers come to pick up goods and inspect whether our company's goods are 201 or 304. They directly use liquid medicine for inspection. Why does the material of 304 turn red? Let's explore this mystery with questions in mind!

After a week, the director of the procurement department cut sheets from different production locations, thicknesses, and purchasers for spectral testing, and obtained corresponding inspection reports. Why conduct spectral testing? Spectral detection requires the use of a spectrometer, which can detect the content of various metals inside an object based on the spectra emitted by metals under high voltage excitation. This is also the most recognized method in the industry for testing resolutions 201 and 304.

At the beginning of the experiment, we dropped the solution purchased online onto 201 and 304 stainless steel plates from different origins. We found that the 201 plate quickly turned red, while some of the 304 plates from different origins also gradually turned red, even becoming as red as the 201 material, but in fact, this plate is made of 304. From this, we can also conclude that the liquid medicine is only an auxiliary function, and the detection liquid medicine cannot actually detect the specific material of the steel pipe. The 304 detection liquid medicine you mentioned only detects the Ni and nickel content in the steel pipe. As long as there is Ni in the steel pipe, the liquid medicine can detect it, but the specific content cannot be detected. The Ni content of a regular 304 steel pipe should be more than 8. If you give you steel pipes such as 201303, their Ni content is less than 8, and using the liquid medicine will still display Ni content. If you don't know, it will be mistaken for a 304 steel pipe. Testing the material of a steel pipe, the solution is not reliable. We suggest that you take a spectrum and check the chemical composition inside. Ni is only 304 steel pipe when it is between 7.8-9.

Many merchants on the market promote the use of a drop of medicine to verify its authenticity, but it is actually inaccurate. The most reliable way to truly test stainless steel is through spectroscopy, and data cannot deceive everyone's eyes. This experiment also validates our company's consistent work policy of winning the market with quality, treating our customers sincerely, and absolutely not engaging in deceptive behavior towards them. Integrity is the hallmark of our Taigangda.
